THE POSITION

To perform forecasting and budgeting activities, analysis of actuals to ensure integrity of reported figures and perform internal reporting to foreign parent company as needed. This role will also get involved in various projects and other activities involved for the finance / controlling organizations.

Controlling for Headquarter Corporate Function:

•Prepare forecasts and budgets for approximately 60 cost centers by working directly with various cost center managers across various functional areas

•Monitor cost center results against the forecast and budgets by highlighting trends, analyzing causes of unexpected variances and working with other finance areas to mitigate variances going forward

•Prepare forecast / budget / actual presentations for management review meetings

•Track and report on headcount related to cost centers under responsibility

•Responsible for allocations of headquarter corporate cost centers to Tire business units and other Continental Business Areas such as Automotive and ContiTech

•Collaboration of cost structures & management of expenses with other Continental Business Areas

•Responsible for managing budget timelines & tasks for several company codes across plants, markets and functional areas

•Participate in financial statement fluctuation analysis including but not limited to trending actuals, forecast vs actuals, etc. for either income statement or balance sheet

•Perform internal reporting for various topics to global Continental reporting systems including but not limited to headcount and worktime / HR topics

•Responsible for corporate function signatory authorities in accordance with company policy

•Responsible for risk reporting and EU Directive 8 internal controls testing & reporting for several US and Canadian companies

•Assist with external auditors including but not limited to planning, management of request lists and providing financial information / presentations for quarterly and annual audit procedures

•Lead and/or participate in various projects for process improvements, new reporting, policy compliance, etc.

Job Requirements

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree

• 5 years of related Financial Analyst experience

• Strong MS Office experience

• Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills

• Legal Authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas now or in the future for this job opening

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 7 years of related Financial Analyst experience

• SAP experience

• Project Management experience

• Continental is only able to pay relocation expenses to internal employees for this opportunity
