Our Charlotte/Fort Mill, SC location is seeking a highly self-motivated and detail-oriented Tire Development Engineer to join our Research & Development Team.

Coordination of Design Concepts, FMEA's, Gateway Presentations, Technical Specifications and Cross Section Design for new CVT product in the above-mentioned segments. Gathering/Documenting Market Knowledge for the above-mentioned segments cumulating in the ability to organize the Product Requests, assisting Marketing in this function. Identify / Implement new technologies into existing Design Concepts as proposed by Global Platform, Global Tread, Pattern Contour & Layout, and Material Development & Planning. Senior level engineers may be assigned additional responsibilities, including local responsibility for related quality processes, known internally as GT Poms. Details are available as needed.

Job Requirements


• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related sciences required.

• Minimum of 2-5 years Tires Development Experience

• Experience in product or technology development and project management desired.

• Presentation experience using Microsoft Office desired.

• English (spoken and written).

• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

• Continental is able to pay relocation expenses for this opportunity.


• Minimum of 5-7 years Tires Development Experience plus degree preferred

• Spanish/Portuguese language
