We are looking for an Industry 4.0 Solution Developer for Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) Systems. As part of our Tires IT Organization we develop, implement and support IT solutions for our tire plants worldwide. In this position you would take over responsibility for:

Solution Developer Industry4.0 for Shop floor (Big) Data Acquisition for DOPAC (Database for Online Process Analysis and Control)

  • Provide concept, design, specification, development and implementation of applications, interfaces and data flow management for machine data acquisition using Iconics Genesis 64 and latest Cloud technologies (CI/CD Pipeline, Docker Container, Data Streaming to the cloud)

  • Analyze and evaluate customer requirements to translate into prototypes and IT solutions that create benefits for our Tire Plants

  • Have close cooperation with IT colleagues from other departments (Shop floor-MES, Plant IT, Advanced Analytics) - As well as with Engineering colleagues from central functions and local Engineering in the plants worldwide

  • Provide execution and approval of functional tests and creation of technical documentation

  • Provide support for organization to ensure proper support for our plants, as well as consultancy and execution of measures for system improvements

  • Deliver trainings for our global support organization and the Key Users

  • Provide project management of internal projects and global roll outs in our plants

  • Continuous technology scouting with suppliers and internal stake holders to identify potentially beneficial technologies in the market

Job Requirements


• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, engineering or another technical field or an equivalent qualification

• 2-5+ years of related experience

• Good knowledge of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) Systems

• Programming skills in C#, Python

• Experience in machine communication protocols like OPC UA (Open Platform Communication Unified Architecture)

• Strong project management skills

• Analytic and strategic thinking, team oriented, self-organized, distinctive communication combined with confidence, dedication, and flexibility

• Willing to work in an intercultural environment

• Willingness to travel 25-50% (globally)

• Legal Authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas now or in the future for this job opening


• 5-7+ years of related experience

• Previous working experience in a manufacturing company

• Experience with Automation and Industrial Control systems (PLC) and Iconics Genesis64
